BRIAN DUFFY
Chef Brian Duffy is one of the most passionate human beings in the hospitality world. His attention to details mixed with a deep love and passion for people drives him. He is the “real deal”. He makes an enormous impact on his clients and the staff he trains. When he speaks , people may laugh, people may cry, but in the end, they are emotionally and professionally moved. Chef Duffy’s culinary journey began in Philadelphia, PA, surrounded by his big Irish-Italian family. While his formal education at The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College taught him technique, it was the Sunday nights cooking with family that ignited his passion for food.
After honing his skills under James Beard Award-winning Chef Jean Marie LaCroix at The Four Seasons, Chef Duffy ventured into restaurant partnerships and founded the Duffified Experience Group (DEG). With over 100 restaurant and venue openings under his belt, Duffy recognized the need for a consulting firm tailored to smaller operators, leading to the formation of DEG.
Through DEG, Chef Duffy works with restaurants, bars, and nightclubs globally, updating concepts, menus, and providing coaching. His tell-it-like-it-is style gained recognition through television appearances on Bar Rescue and his recent show, Opening Night, showcasing his 7-day process of opening a restaurant.
Collaborating with Ugly Brother Studios, Chef Duffy launched the highly anticipated World Chef & Yum Crunch platforms, offering interactive experiences for foodies. As the Creator and Host of Duffified Live, Chef Duffy shares his over-the-top approach to eating, drinking, and experiences.
Chef Duffy's love for BBQ and travel soared after winning the Barn Smoker event in Dallas and becoming a fan favorite on Food Network's BBQ Brawl. When not working with clients or traveling, Chef Duffy focuses on entrepreneurial endeavors, including his signature spices, Duffified Spice, and a line of kitchen apparel and chef-driven grills available on his website.
