KAYLA ROBISON
After Kalya finished her studies in Culinary and Pastry Arts, Kayla dived headfirst into the restaurant industry, working her way up from dishwasher to executive chef. In 2015 she became the Executive Chef at Nation Kitchen and Bar, earning lots of praise for her innovative menu ideas. By 2018, she ventured to Arnold's Bar and Grill, a nationally acclaimed spot, with her fresh menu program.
During her 8 years at these restaurants, Kayla and her teams created award-winning menus, landed spots on national TV, and caught the media’s eye. Her amazing work earned her a regular spot on Cincinnati's Top 10 Best Chefs list.
Kayla didn’t stop there. She took home wins on Food Network’s Chopped and Guy's Grocery Games and made appearances on The Today Show, Man vs. Food, and Cheap Eats. Known for her creative flair, Chef Kayla loves adding a modern twist to the classic dishes we all love.
In 2023 Kayla made a pivotal decision to focus on freelance work, leaving behind a full-time chef position to pursue a more entrepreneurial path. This transition allowed her to channel her creativity and expertise into consulting other restaurants and launching a burger walk up window concept, which quickly garnered attention becoming a local sensation, known for its mouthwatering smash burgers and unique hiring practices. Emphasizing the empowerment of female chefs, Kayla has created a platform that showcases the talents of "badass female chefs," fostering an inclusive and inspiring culinary environment.
